THIS IS ADVNC LACROSSE
ADVNC Virginia is launching to provide the best lacrosse experience in Hampton Roads and all of Virginia for athletes and families.
An experience that prioritizes player development, elite coaching, team building, and most importantly, instilling a love of the game. Our program will bring a premier lacrosse journey for our players from the youth ranks through their high school recruiting experience, with clear age-appropriate goals.
ADVNC Virginia is committed to open communication lines, providing a clear understanding of program expectations, and a thorough explanation of the ADVNC Training System (ATS).
ADVNC Virginia is here to help propel Virginia youth lacrosse to the next level.
ADVNC Lacrosse was founded in 2011 in Northern California by Chris Rotelli. A native of Rhode Island, Rotelli played for Lacrosse Hall of Famer, Dom Starsia for four seasons at the University of Virginia. Rotelli won the ‘03 Tewaaraton Award, given to the best player in college lacrosse. That same year, he led UVa to a National Championship, and was the #1 overall pick in the MLL Draft. He was also named ACC Male Athlete of the Year. Rotelli had an illustrious pro career before deciding to coach and mentor young players full-time.
Rotelli remains the CEO of ADVNC Lacrosse and runs the day-to-day operations of the club. In addition to leading ADVNC, Rotelli is also the Head Coach at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton, CA where he has led the Gators to numerous championships.
In the twelve years since its inception, ADVNC has become one of the most prestigious and successful lacrosse clubs in America. ADVNC has won elite tournaments all over the country. Hundreds of ADVNC players have been recruited and gone on to play college lacrosse at all levels.
Coach Rotelli and ADVNC help every player who wants to play in college find a school and program that is the right fit for them.
ADVNC Lacrosse has grown to include four regions in Northern California, ADVNC San Francisco, ADVNC East Bay, ADVNC North Bay & ADVNC Sacramento. ADVNC Dallas has also joined the ADVNC Lacrosse Program this Fall. ADVNC is also partners with Seattle Starz, Team Oregon & South Sound.
The National Development Program (NDP) selects the top players from all of these teams. NDP Teams compete at the most prestigious tournaments in America.
Players who are selected for ADVNC Virginia teams will have the opportunity to play on ADVNC NDP Teams as well.
90% of all NDP players in that current year’s high school recruiting class have committed to play college lacrosse over the past three seasons.
ADVNC VIRGINIA LEADERSHIP
Ryan Tucker- Director
Ryan Tucker is in his 4th season as head coach of the Norfolk Academy boys lacrosse team where he also teaches history. A native of Baltimore, Tucker was a three-time All-American player at the Gilman School. He went onto become a team captain and All-American player at the University of Virginia. Tucker was selected 4th overall in the 2015 MLL Draft and won a pro Championship with the Chesapeake Bayhawks. After five pro seasons, he retired and started his coaching career. Tucker grew up the son of coaches, as his mom, Janine Tucker is the winningest coach in Johns Hopkins University women’s lacrosse history. His dad, John was an All American player at Hopkins and is currently the head coach at the Saint James School in Maryland. We are thrilled to have Ryan Tucker lead our ADVNC Virginia region.
